On Saturday, May 30th, 2026, Master of Forest Conservation, Braedon Witt, led an informative, guided walk through Upper Queens Park in Stratford. Starting at 9:30am, participants met at the Gingko tree at the entrance to the Arthur Meighen Garden to begin a 1.5 hour tour of the historic grounds. This free event allowed attendees to explore the precious, elder trees in the park and learn about why heritage trees play significant biological and social roles in the community. This walk was successful in teaching over 15 community members about common tree identification, assessment of tree health and importance of large, urban trees.
