Tree Trust Waterloo Chapter has been working this spring caring for two trees: a Little Leaf Linden (Tilia cordata) and a Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum).
The 20-year-old Linden typically growing between 50 to 80 feet tall and 20 to 50 feet wide is a wonderful source of shade and produces small yellow and green flowers. The Linden is undergoing care for the damage at its root and crown.
The 30-year-old sugar maple will experience ongoing care, providing mulch at the base to help prevent future mechanical damage and tending to the branches which seem to have undergone damage by the local squirrel friends (pictured below).
Thanks to the work of Baum Professional Tree Care these trees are on track to live a long and healthy life!
