Remembering a loved one?
Tree Trust offers two ways to honour them and support our trees.
1. Community-supported Elder Tree Care
Perhaps they hiked, gardened, or simply enjoyed a quiet walk in the woods. However you remember them, nature was part of their story.
What better way to remember someone than with a gift to Tree Trust, which preserves legacy trees in local communities.
Your donation helps protect the irreplaceable legacy trees that have stood for generations. With expert care from certified arborists — including pruning, deadwood removal, and soil restoration — we extend their lives and preserve their strength.

Each time you hear the rustle of leaves or gaze up at a towering oak or maple, you’ll be reminded of your loved one — and the living legacy you’ve helped protect.

Tree Trust is a program of The Elora Environment Centre, a registered Canadian charity. Charitable tax receipts are provided.
2. Legacy Tree Program
Honour a life. Grow a legacy.
Tree Trust’s Legacy Tree Program offers a meaningful way to remember a loved one.
Through this program, a mature tree is preserved with expert arboriculture care and dedicated to your loved one. Each Legacy Tree is fitted with a small plaque, creating a lasting way to remember them.
It takes $2,500 to preserve one elder tree with qualified care from a Tree Trust Approved Arborist. You might consider inviting your friends and family to contribute. Please contact Toni Ellis at [email protected] to learn more about this program.
