UNDERSTANDING ITS ROLE IN OUR FORESTS

November 13th, 2025
7:30PM – 8:45PM
Elora Centre for the Arts (Gallery Space)

Are you concerned about the surge in global forest fires? Want to understand how we got here and what role forests, ecology, culture, and past management practices play? Then this talk is for you!

Join us for an evening exploring the complexity of fire on the landscape. Braedon Witt, a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Master of Forest Conservation program and current Tree Trust Program Manager, will guide us through the science and history of fire while addressing common misconceptions.
