McNab Street Sugar Maple kicks off 2022 tree care in Centre Wellington

This sugar maple no doubt predates the home built in the 1970s. Originally this tract of land was a farm, owned by Sam Patterson.  He became a realtor and sold many of the lots on this street.

One of the largest still standing on McNab. Sugar Maple trees, while loved by all, are happiest in the woods and often struggle with harsh urban environments – especially busy roadsides where salt, pollution and soil compaction take their toll.

This tree was preserved thanks to funding from the Fergus-Elora Rotary club in May 2022 by Baum Professional Tree Care.
