A group of talented musicians at Wilfrid Laurier have partnered with Tree Trust to raise donations to fund mature tree care in Centre Wellington.
Brent Rowan, a well-loved musician in Centre Wellington and professor at Wilfrid Laurier University, gave his class the task to partner with a local organization and deliver a concert to raise donations for a cause of their choice. To our good fortune, five students from his class chose to partner with us at Tree Trust to raise money for mature tree care. The team has worked hard to re-record classic songs and is excited to premier the virtual concert on the Laurier Youtube Channel at 3 pm on Sunday, March 21. Donors who contributed before March were able to request a song for the musical group to record, while donors who donate before March 21 will be given a link to access the concert. All donations will go toward funding our next Tree Trust tree in Centre Wellington this upcoming April.
If you would like to support Tree Trust and the talented group of Laurier students, you can donate online through CanadaHelps or mail a cheque made out to the Elora Environment Centre at 75 Melville St., Elora ON, N0B 1S0. Please attach a note that you would like to designate your donation to the Laurier Fundraiser and provide your email address so we can contact you with a link to the event!
